    Perl has been called "the Swiss Army Knife of pragmatic programming" and it earned that reputation.

    Ironically, When search "Swiss Army Knife of pragmatic programming", or "Swiss Army Knife of code" on google, the first result is about python.

      But if you instead search for swiss army chainsaw of programming the first hit is to Perl. Getting the quote correct is a prerequisite for accurate search results.
