    I asked you what you call it, not what it references, so what do you call it?

      I call it "George".

        Well, gee, for a named array @george you type  $george[1], you call this array george,

        for an anonymous array you type $height{george}, you call it $height{george},
        its pronounced height-of-george

        you can tack-on array or arrayref; the "ref" part of arrayref is implied by height-of-, implied by $height{}

        sure its an arrayref, the keyword is array, the only name it has is height-of-george, so that is what you call it
