syphilis has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi,

Are there any mirrors for the relocatable perl packages provided by Strawberry Perl ?
Or is there an ftp server providing those packages or an https link that I can use ? (I can't find either.)
Basically, all I'm after is a means of downloading the relocatable package for perl-5.30.1 (32-bit) via any means other than http download.
Neither firefox nor wget nor IE will do the job for me via http. And I don't have the permissions to be able to use scp.

For a couple of months now, my http access has been denied to many places - including most of the strawberryperl.com links.
I've complained to my ISP (southernphone), as the problem is definitely upstream of my computers - all 4 of which suffer from exactly the same issue.
But they don't really know what to do, nor do they care.
Last time I needed to download something via http, I took my laptop over to my neighbours' and grabbed it through their ISP (iinet). But I don't want to keep using that solution.
For one thing, they're a quarter of a mile away.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Cheers,
Rob
