    Hi,

    You are absolutely right. I just wrote the article because I was sick and tired of the Perl bashing. Not that Perl needs any defense as such. But, there's way too much "perl is dead/bad/crappy" stuff floating around. And after using the language and especially being here at PerlMonks and getting solutions and encouragement, this is the least I can do for my beloved language.
