The PerlMonks site front end has

    • Too much JavaScript
    • Not enough JavaScript
    • Just the right amount of JavaScript
    • Not enough WebPerl

(edited to clarify that this is about the page rendering and not about the topics in the actual content)

What do you use perl for?

    • for fun
    • l'art pour l'art
    • garbage in, garbage out
    • whitehat stuff
    • blackhat stuff
    • keep a business running I don't understand
    • keep my own business running
    • make money
    • Save the world! (how?)
    • Other (please elaborate)

That was 23 years ago ... it would be interesting to see if something has changed in this time ...

As usual: a combination of many of those. I fist look at perl with *any* job-related programming/scripting issue. I also look at perl when trying to express a new idea. The I us it to improve my CPAN modules and to compare to other languages. In all of these FUN! is the most important factor.

      Enjoy, Have FUN! H.Merijn

What's the best IDE you've ever used?
    • Komodo
    • Visual Studio
    • JetBrains
    • I've never used one
Any others? (need not be Perl specific)

Although I haven't used it this millennium, LSE was an absolute necessity for doing proper dev work on VMS back in the day.
