.NET developer since the beginning (and MS languages), I've changed platform of development with a big project that a perlmonger left alone!!!
I love learning and installed several linux versions (Red hat, Suse, Xubuntu, Rpi...), bought a mac :p , did Awk & Bash programming, C & Gtk+, TCL/TK, went to Android/Java development, made HUE programming, learned Gimp, JWildfire, Mandelbulb3d drawing (I have an account on deviantart), a little bit of Python to try to make an addon for Kodi but the docs were very poor ^^ but learning Python and Perl together is really maso... so I let Python on the side for Perl mouhaha ^_^
Finaly I'm back to Perl now for real (I read tutorials 13 years ago and came on this site but abandonned).
Actually, I did several personal scripts and 2 intranet applications for the company with Jquery, Bootstrap on Windows Server (IIS)
Perl is really a good language, not easy to learn (the most difficult) because it's a "puzzle language" but I love it (and I love the community) <3 <3
Next step, maybe learn Perl 6 or retry to install Gimp packages for Perl... I need to sleep.
