XP isn't appealing to me; a true reflection of my peers appreciation of my altruism is.

    Even if XP computation awarded a point for every up-vote, you'd still not be receiving your due, because AM's can't vote, and many who should don't. Being under-appreciated has traditionally been a side-effect of altruism. Some even seek it, as a guard against pride.
