No, I was pretty much on point. Nobody is going to get what they "deserve". I would support (as if anybody is listening to me) a more representative statistic, but let's not fool ourselves.
Perhaps it's a cultural thing, but when I hear people say "XP is meaningless" I don't take it as "that number is not representative of my actual contribution" but rather "I don't care about the number, accurate or not, because I don't do it to get credit." Good thing, too. Unlike the unfair restaurant which takes part of the tip and gives it to the undeserving, here we just chuck the money/votes down the drain/bitbucket.
