Thats just stupid

Other software doesn't have this problem, they don't reuse the same file extension for a radically different version of the software

      • So your editor that looks at the extension to determine what syntax profile to use isn't "Real software"?
      • Your C++ compiler that uses the file extension to determine whether to compile the file as C or C++ isn't "Real software"?

      • ...
