in thread OT: Converting some js to Perl

A person who is tasked with “converting” a JS application to a corresponding Perl implementation really does not give a damn about PerlMonks petty-politics.   That person is looking for a technical answer from someone who has been there, and I feel that I am quite-qualified to answer this thread ... which is why I did, and put my name on it.   I told you the experience of having led a small team of programmers through a very similar set of requirements, and of particular issues which we found.   All of this is truth.   Therefore, I consider it to be relevant.   Good evening to you, sirs.

Being shit at programming and giving programming advice is pretty universal, nothing really political about that at all. It's also embarrassing to have someone who OP thinks represents this site give terrible advice and as such reflect poorly back on PM, when you're really not a good example of the quality of intellect we have around here.

Three thousand years of beautiful tradition, from Moses to Sandy Koufax, you're god damn right I'm living in the fucking past
