How to do things with WinCE device

svad has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Does anyone have a solution on how to automate things for WinCE?

It is not a secret that even to perform simpliest file copyings it is needed a lot of mouse clicks, drags and so on.

I want to write simple oneliner scripts (or multiline scripts) that perform basic file copyings. (yesterday when I've made sync with desktop computer ActiveSync wrongfully decided file modification times and overwrote my changes with elder files! so I don't trust this sync anymore...)

I have Cassiopeia E125 with WinCE, and perl running on it.

My first guess is to use Win32::OLE to manipulate activesync connection.

Can anyone share any information on this?

      Thank you for a link.
How do you think is there exists a way to control files and file transfers for PocketPC running Perl on desktop computer?

I wouldn't know, as I've never used Perl with Windows. I use Windows for electronic banking and PocketPC installations, as not everything can be done by copying files on a compact flash card.

Slightly off topic I know, but which Perl installation did you use (URL is possible please). It's just that I've got a HP Jornada 540 PocketPC with WinCE and I'd love to have Perl running on it (it'll make developement time on a train easier than getting out a laptop when the train is full).
