    I don't understand why this has been voted down. A Perl script with no punctuation...

    Much better than running a bunch of ASCII codes through pack, I think.

    While I agree with you, Russ, I think it's a matter that the author didn't make it clear that it was a runnable script. It wasn't clear to me when I first saw it, either.

    For the record, this does run, and produces good output (even without -w and use strict; <G>)

    Update:It works with use strict; just fine, but fails with -w. Still, it's tre' cool.
