Hi people, I didn't mean to cause such an uproar with my questions about the broken computer (I was serious about it). Mum has me eating dirt as punishment because all her banking notes are gone. Yes I DO have linux on the machine (with VB runn in an emulator thing). Perl wasn't installed because I didn't have enough room (I use gentoo) on the disk. Anyway, the computer guy says it was the packets of dried ramen noondle sauce being rubbed against the fan wires that caused the fire. I thought it was because I maxed out my harddrive or something installing perl!!! Anyway when I get my computer back (the fire burnt most of the mobo to a crisp) i cant wait to learn about perl. Sorry for causing the uproar i guess?!
