( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
Since I chose 'Many instruments', I ought to at least specify what they are. I can play piano at grade 7, double bass at grade 5, and sing at grade 4.

Performances include:

Ein Deutsches Requiem (Bach)
Carmina Burana (Orff)
West Side Story
Carmen
Various Rogers & Hammerstein
Kyrie Eleison (William Byrd)
Various hymns
And many others I can't remember.

I have also taken part in a European music tour (Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy). The 2 most memorable performances were an ad-lib choral movement in the ice caves of Jungfrau (sung in front of a sole Japanese tourist with video camera), and a hymn sung in Saint Mark's Cathedral, Venice.

These days, one of my hobbies is making music... I use Cubase VST and Fruityloops for composition, and Steinberg V-Stack for live performances. VSTis include Reaktor, VSampler, Lounge Lizard and FM7.

to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
