My sons are intrigued by scripting, I taught one of my sons the Hello World script during a "Bring your child to work day". He thought it was cool (he was 10 at the time). Usually, I get the obscure computer problem response. However, I work with several people who are either perl or tcl scripters. The discussion usually results in a spirited conversation about which is better, perl or tcl. Or python, or pomegranate juice, or whatever turns you on. ;)

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
