Zillions is nifty, you can play everything from
Nine Men's Morris to
Arimaa on it.
As for the OP I think the idea is close. To me scripting languages tend to be either bundled (JavaScript, as Tcl was intended) or interpreted. I'd also point out that batch languages (those that necessitate calls to many external programs) are often conflated with scripting languages.
