$mile!

by throttle (Beadle)
on Oct 31, 2004 at 16:06 UTC ( [id://404142]=obfuscated: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

This is my first obfuscation script. It's not so good, but it has some particular features. First, the whole octal codes are in a rectangular shape. Second, the last part of the script is also printed, either if it is just a semicolon followed by a comment.
#!/usr/bin/perl #$mile by throttle my $mile = "\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\137\000\137\1 +37\137\137\137\137\137\137\137\000\137\137\137\137\137\137\137\137\13 +7\137\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\000\057\040\040\040\040\040\0 +40\000\040\000\040\040\000\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\04 +0\134\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\057\040\040\040\040\040\000\040\0 +40\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\000\000\040\040\040\040\040\040\04 +0\134\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\057\040\040\040\040\040\040\137\137\0 +40\040\000\040\040\040\040\040\137\137\040\040\000\040\040\040\040\04 +0\134\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\040\057\040\040\040\040\040\040\057\040\040\1 +34\040\040\040\040\040\057\040\040\134\040\040\040\000\040\040\040\04 +0\134\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\057\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\134\137\137\0 +57\040\040\040\040\040\134\137\137\057\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\04 +0\134\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\174\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\0 +40\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\04 +0\174\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\174\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\0 +40\040\174\040\174\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\04 +0\174\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\174\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\0 +40\040\134\137\057\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\04 +0\174\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\174\040\040\040\040\040\134\040\040\040\040\0 +40\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\057\040\040\040\04 +0\174\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\134\040\040\040\040\040\040\134\040\040\040\0 +40\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\057\040\040\040\040\04 +0\057\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\040\134\040\040\040\040\040\040\134\137\137\1 +37\137\000\137\137\137\137\137\137\137\137\137\057\040\040\040\040\04 +0\057\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\134\040\040\040\040\040\040\000\000\0 +40\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\04 +0\057\000 \040\000\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\000\134\040\040\040\040\040\0 +40\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\05 +7\000\000 \040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\040\134\137\000\137\137\137\137\1 +37\000\137\137\137\137\000\137\137\000\137\137\137\137\137\137\137\13 +7\057\000 \012\044\000\000\000\000\000\000\000\000\000\000\000\000\000\000\000\0 +00\000\000\155\000\151\000\154\000\145\041\040\000\073\000\043\051\00 +0\012\000 " ;#) print $mile;
Look at the output and... SMILE!

    well... Actually, this isn't ofuscated enough..
    I mean, I pasted code in my favourite editor, squeezed my eyes a bit, and I could see the output with difference of patterns... just highlighting "\040" showed me I was right, and executing the script proved it...perhaps having a hash of many elements to recode a char could be better (like a a multipattern substitution code)...

    Good luck for the next ones!

    P!
