Now you can shortcut linking to outside urls by using a http:// prefix in your bracketed links

  • [http://perlmonks.org]to produce a link like http://perlmonks.org
  • [http://perlmonks.org|killer new website that is the rage with kids these days] to produce a link like killer new website that is the rage with kids these days

You can also link to books on fatbrain.com using the isbn:// prefix

  • [isbn://1565922840|Learning Perl]to product a link like Learning Perl

      Great!

When I did my first node last week, I sort of expected the http://... thing to work, but I was disappointed. Very nice to see it actually implemented: Thanks!
