in thread Web interface and index.pl separated?

a page created with dreamweaver will be a static HTML page. You will have to provide the correct templating tags for the templating system you intend to use. You can either do that within Dreamweaver or by hand through your favorite editor. (No, I have no idea how to use Dreamweaver - others have told me it's possible.)

I think you're missing some foundation information. I strongly urge you to stop and do some serious reading on how programs and programming works. Your questions indicate to me that you have a goal and you want to know only those things that help you get to your goal. The problem with that is you don't know what it is you should know, so you go for the first way you see. Unfortunatley, that's usually the most inefficient way.

Now, I'm more than willing to continue answering your questions ... for a while. But, if you don't demonstrate that you're trying to learn on your own, I know I will start to get frustrated and stop helping you. I suspect many of my brethren will, as well.

If you don't understand something you're reading, then please ask questions about that. We'll gladly help you with the concepts.

First of all thnk you for your time, willing and effort to help me help myself :-)

You are right i want to do things but i dont know how to do them, so in this particular thread i opened considering what you are telling me i now have to ask this:

Thank you but it is still complicated. In your opinion whats the easiest way of creating a Perl CGI Webpage and why?

Perl + cgi.pm ? (the way i have it now)
    Perl + Dreamweaver ?
    Perl + Style Sheets ?
Iam really trying to fugure out the easiest method for implementing this.

cgi.pm is ok but it needs a lot of width, height, border, size, font-family and stuff if you ahve it in a a index.pl that messes the whole page up.
      What I do is this:
      • For reading parameters sent to me (either from a form or on the URL), I use CGI.
      • When generating HTML to send back, I use HTML::Template. You can also use Template Toolkit or any number of other excellent templating modules.
      • Within my templates, I use CSS stylesheets as well as Javascript files, as appropriate.

Others have used Dreamweaver and similar products to maintain their templates and CSS files, but I have not done this.

Can i use Dreamweaver to pass values to variables in the html i produce with it?
