    Just to be clear, I'm not looking for a wiki to install but for a module or two that would provide two small areas of functionality I associate with a wiki:

  • visually present the diff between any two versions of a document
  • tracking versions of a document

    I'd appreciate ideas of how I can do that with __minimal__ overhead. I'd rather not glom on an entire wiki packge for just two small features.

      Then you're focusing on the wrong thing. You want modules that will diff the files for you and an interface to a revision control system:
