smithers++.  It's funny you should bring this up.

I was just thinking "quiet weekend at the Monastery ... maybe I should write something about the Super Bowl".  I wasn't actually going to, but I did click on Newest Nodes just to see what was happening.

And I'm mostly watching the game, but, ... well, ... um, New England isn't in it, so it's more of a one eye on the game and one eye on the Monastery kind of thing. :-O

    Right there with you. For the first time in many years, I'm more interested in the commericals than the game. <sigh>

      My wife suggested that we Tivo it so we could fast-forward the game and just watch the commercials. ;-)

        There'd really be no point in wasting hours of recording time on Tivo and then searching for the commercials when you can find them all on-line. I found them at: http://www.youtube.com/superbowl. CBS links to them here: http://www.cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/postseason/superads but that page looks pretty broken in firefox.

        "My two cents aren't worth a dime.";

        I thought about that, then realized I'd skip the commercials too.
