Simplicus is a thoughtful and morose dude in about the middle of his current life. He lives with his wife, their son, and a loud parakeet named Ralph. In his waking hours, he enjoys toast, reading, sailing, swimming, playing mind games with his four year old, tying flies, and generally learning about anything he doesn't already know.
He has been talking to computers since they were bigger and heavier that him (or anyone else), but has a degree in music composition (and not from the University of Southern North Dakota at Hoople, either). Since he is aware that the brightest and laziest programmers prefer Perl, he hangs out here to watch, learn, and occaisionally say something stupid.
He is particularly taken with the editorial use of the third person, and often says "haggis" for no good reason. His ears are large, his nose is hooked, and he has a pronounced facial tic that evinces itself only when he attempts to use the pommel horse. His favorite color is blue no, green (aarrrrrgh), he favorite tree is the larch, and his favorite direction is northeast.
