Thank you for your hint. Actually I mixed up the subtypes from Moose::Util::TypeConstraints and from MooseX::Types, like in this previous post. And it is even mentioned in the man page of Moose::Manual::Types under "type names". See, when rtfm, you have to chose the right one too ..
