I said it's more like gardening.
It requires skill, knowledge, care, attention, love, perseverance, money and so on. A garden is dependant on sun, rain, temperature. Your program is also dependant on external factors like data, users etc. A garden needs defending from parasites, disease, weeds. Your program needs defending from users, bad data, no data, management. It's also dynamic. It starts small and neat like a little plant and before you know it, it's taken over everything else, draining all resources and has a life of it's own. In reply to Re: Programming is more like:
