Just got an email about this book coming out. Chapter 8 on security is online here. If you own version one you can get a 30% discount by buying the book directly from O'Reilly if you send in the title page from your book.

I just received the final version last week. It's pretty good, I like the scope of things it covers.

If you're on the fence about whether or not to get it, go ahead and splurge.

I was going to pick that up today but forgot my ATM card so I can't get it until I get back from work. I've really had a lot of success with O'Reilly books and they're very consistent in the amount of work, effort, and intelligence put into each book.

This book is virtually impossible to find in Springfield, Va. Borders is supposed to have it by thursday when it was originally intended to be here the 15th!!!

I don't feel like waiting a week when I can wait two days!

I just got 2nd edition in direct from O'Reilly last week - it's a winner.

Some of it was, for me anyway, review of material already in my library (Learning Perl, Perl Cookbook, Perl in a Nutshell), but there's enough additional material to make it well worth the money. Plus, it's nice to have it all in under one cover.

I'll leave a PM review to someone more technically qualified than I.
