The new silly hat picture: Yes, I'm doing an impression of a garden gnome. It's a really warm hat, being made of wool, knit and then fulled. I need to find a picture of me in a blue tunic and the hat...
Caption from old picture: That's me in the middle (the fat guy in a Far Side T-shirt) between my wife (on the left) and a friend, Julie, whom we got together with in Tallinn, Estonia. That's the old city in the background. Oh, Julie is a tablet weaver, too... imagine that!
Caption from old picture^2:
That's me doing tablet weaving (the tablets are hiding in my hands)...no, I don't dress that way in my day job (except for Halloween, where I wore pretty close to what I am wearing in that picture.).

Life is good at work...it's nice to have a job that is fun.
See scratchpad for resume. Email herveus@gmail.com for other details.
I use Perl for my hobbies (heraldry, gaming) as much as for work. I've got some proto-modules that chart tablet-weaving patterns, process heraldic information (SCA context), and work with Traveller based stuff.
