Now on macOS: I've been reading for the last 7 days, many articles, many approaches...but it is very old stuff.

Hi,

What did you actually try?

I'm fairly confident PAR/Cava can work if you try and work through the steps

http://www.cavapackager.com/appdocs/platform-macosx.htm

PAR-1.041 PASS on mac os x that is darwin

Heck even http://docs.activestate.com/pdk/9.5/Install.html says it runs on mac os x, no reason to doubt that
