Feature suggestion for code-tags

Fellow Monks:

I recently had a look at PerlTidy and got the idea that this could be implemented on perlmonks.

Obviously, the obfuscated coders would not want this. So I suggest adding an optional attribute to the <code>-tags, something like <code beautify="on">. There could also be an option in the user settings that turns beautification off for all posts, if people prefer to see their code in black&white.

What does everybody think?

It could be a good Idea, but I prefere keep old syntax and assume that every Monks will care of their syntax !

This might actually be nice. I like the output produced by PerlTidy. Of course, it should be optional and off by default, controlled by an attribute like you mention, probably. Also, there's the issue of how the colors would interact with the different themes.
