Message Settings

Message Settings has two parts:

Message (Inbox) Settings

These settings control displaying of private messages sent to you from other PerlMonks users.

  • /msg me when there's a reply to one of my posts: if you select this option, the server will put a message in your Message Inbox whenever someone replies directly to one of your posts.

  • Newest messages first: this setting controls whether newest or oldest messages will be listed on top of the list.

  • Max to display in inbox: sets the number of private messages to show per page in the inbox.

  • Max to display in chatterbox sets the number of private messages to show in the chatterbox. If there are more messages a link to your inbox will be shown that contains the number of additional messages.

Folder Settings

This lets you manage archive folders for private messages. Folders can be created and renamed, but not deleted.
