This may be a single contrived example (though it is nothing unusual really), but the set of cases in which the statement will not be clear to the human eye is much larger. No it isn't

tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
