"Assumptions? Hasn't worked out well for me how?"

Posting solutions without testing them, assuming they work, code which doesn't even compile while asserting you're helping people.

"I you are worrit about XP, then, 10 minutes after my response to you, my XP went up 10 points, without any voting or posting on my part."

    Unintelligible.

"SOMEBODY doesn't like your contributions! Not assumption, just fact"

Possible, yet more assumptions. For all you know someone voted ++ on your other posts, I know I did. You have no way of knowing where the XP came from. Since 2 of your posts are (at time of writing) in Worst Nodes by your logic they like your contributions less than mine. Node reputation does not always equate to a loss or gain of XP.

"You need to back off novices and everyone else and stop acting so stupidly."

    Try taking youe own advice.

"Nobody is even aware of my usage of perlmonks but me."

And the gods, and the users who see your posts and chatterbox input. So no, not just you.

    "Really? Who are you?"

You ask this after stating that all you have to do is search for my name to get an accurate impression of me.

"I can guarantee that they are WAY less damaging and OFFENSIVE than your NASTY criticism to newcomers."

How can you guarantee this? Right, you have no way of knowing.

      Alrighty, then.

marto, to really grock some mistaken logic, read your last post. If you don't get it, then read it agin.

Just so you know, I'll not be your enemy, I won't downvote you unless you deserve it, will upvote you when you give good help. But I'm done with THIS thread.

      Beam me up, Scotty

      Anne

"to really grock some mistaken logic, read your last post. If you don't get it, then read it agin."

You've yet to prove I've made any mistakes. I've made various points which you choose to ignore, you then go on to tell others how to behave and what they should do, yet when someone questions your behaviour (name calling, offensive language on what is a public forum, kids can use this site), you first respond with:

Re^6: how to print out side of for loop?:

"Ah heck, marto. That was too harsh. Sorry. "

"You have your own way of responding as well. And I jumped right on it. What a hypocrite."

Then return to form in subsequent posts. I've pointed out the mistaken logic (code which doesn't work, code which doesn't do what you intend never mind meet OPs requirements, "Nobody is even aware of my usage of perlmonks but me" while we can all see your posts and CB chat... and so on).

You've given no example of anything I've done wrong other than how you personally perceive my treatment of one user, without adequate context, as somehow being unacceptable. FYI their session of Q&A in the chatterbox was slightly more productive than yesterday. With each critical post you don't provide anything to back up any claims. You don't seem to follow your own advice.

        "Its a hobby"[sic]

It's a hobby for everyone. The community is full of people devoting their spare time to help and contribute. This site doesn't employ people to sit and answer questions or post useful code. How is this in any way relevant to any of the points I raised?
