( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

I'm quite worried about nodes that get frontpaged getting more reputation that those that don't, yet are more original and should warrant more praise...

I feel that people seem to just fill in the ++O on all the front nodes if they havn't seen anything else that day... instead of browsing more complex-task style nodes like Code Catacombs and Craft for projects/nodes that require more attention... Even though the front nodes should require the repuations, in many cases nodes that didn't make it to the front page are superior(for example those in more complex/helpfull catagories.

so here's my idea.... i vote for the Repuation voting to be taken off of the Front node.

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
