Good style? I'd consider properly indented and commented code good style, indenting especially helps you or other people to understand what is going on later.. Also try not to re-use big chunks of code, one or two lines repeated is ok, but if you find yourself formatting text a certain way, or similar, write a sub for it.. It helps later if you need to change how that works/looks..
Can't think of much else at the moment, I'm not a 'strict' person (tho warnings is good).. Whatever works :) I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the style guide yet! C.
