I don't use the chatterbox; why should I? IRC has a much
nicer interface. User homenodes isn't something I care about
(after all, we do have the web already). As for HTML and
such, I find it a blessing I can post plain text on Usenet;
that on Usenet $a [1] only takes me 6 characters
to type, and not the 19 of <code>$a [1]</code> I've to type here. This place doesn't
even have the option of posting plain text, not even POD.
(So much for a Perl site).
It takes far less time to post on Usenet than to post here.

Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
