you obviously know very little about the history of the incarnations of the dalai lama and the practice of tibetan buddhism to say that tenzin gyatso was chosen as a holy man because of the political needs of western countries to fracture and weaken china.
The person you're answering to didn't say so. He/She wrote"Dalai was only made a so called holy man because of the political needs of the western
countries": although this may sound ambiguous I think it's clear enough that he's referring to the mediatic image of dalai lama as boasted in the western world, and not to his being "chosen" as a holy man in the strictly religious acceptation of the term, which is of course a whole another matter.
Of course you may still argue with such a (somewhat revised) claim, and you seem informed enough to do so...

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
