    Chatterbox
Yeah, chatterbox is definately absent from the options...

And how about the discussion about each silly poll? Does that count as a section?

Oh you said fond, not loathe. :)

Yeah, I hang out in the chatterbox to meet chicks.

Meditations seems to be the equilibrium: there's a steady supply of nodes posted there (not too few and not too many), and they're usually new and different from the others.

This is specially interesting when you don't have much time... reading SoPW is nice, but demands a lot of time... specially if you answer the posts...

    Voting Booth

I just love to be able to cast a vote on something useful... so I checked - ahm - Poetry, right?
Except from that, I can't seem to make up my mind, I find quite sections rather useful.

    Cheers, Sören

That little pixel in the upper right hand corner... it makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

It was a toss up between SoPW and Meditations, but Seekers has proven to be most usefull to me, so I'll have to throw my vote there.
Of course, Super Search should've been a choice too, it's saved me sooo many times.

I hang out in Newest Nodes, which can be a mix of all the other choices. For me Newest Nodes is my way of strolling into the Monastery common room and saying, "What did I miss while I was gone?"

It's just a matter of asking yourself which section of the web site would be most difficult to live without. The Chatterbox is fun and occasionally useful, but all the really useful stuff is taken care of in SoPW, and I wouldn't consider this Perlmonks if SoPW were missing. I could live without the Chatterbox if I had to.

EDIT: And I really don't know why so many people voted for Meditations.

Actually Chatterbox, but SoPW is a pretty close second

Perl is Huffman encoded by design.

This gave me a difficult decision between Meditations and Obfuscated Code.

Obfuscated Code has lost of gems, and you can even learn things from some of them, but I finally chose Meditations because obfuscations would exist even without this section of the monastery, but it would be impossible to gather so many interesting writeups about perl if this section didn't exist.

Apart from the Polls, I'm also missing the Sitefaqlets from the list.

Hey, how come Buy PerlMonks Beer wasn't included? That's way my fav... Oh. Oops. Nevermind.

Although I spend most of my time in the CB, I quite like the obfuscation and poetry sections, but get more out of tutorials and SoPW.

Well, I'm late to the party because of my sojourn in EU, but I am one who votes for Meditations. Yes, I love the content and helpful exposure of SoPW (learn something new every day!) and I'm becoming CB-addicted, but Meditations brings me a chance to read other peoples' thoughts on many subjects and also to spout a few of my own. I really need a few moments every day to divert myself, and Meditations does that admirably.

One other section that should have been included, however, which would have topped M, is Saints in our Book. All hail the incredibly helpful guys & gals who make PM what it is!!!
