Seriously, you guys all want what we'd call Ginger Beer?!
You can buy ginger beer in almost any supermarket in the UK!! I'd imagine it's a pretty similar situation in the US.
Hell, you can even buy it in practically every Newsagent in the UK!
Here in the UK We call 'stoney tangawizi'/ginger soda GINGER BEER and it's kept near to the Coca Cola. It's also known as GINGER BEER in the US. Idk about the rest of Europe however.

No way, Tangawizi is NOT the same taste as standard gingerale! It's more spicy. I love it as well and wish I could find it in Holland!

You make an effective troll.
Ginger beer or ale or whatever as found in North America has little flavor other than sugar. On a first experience with Tangawizi some folks can feel it in their nose from the inside out. It has a strong flavor and is very good.

I am thankful for all this information. I first tasted it at the Coke Museum then traveled to Tanzania and drank as much as I could. Wikipedia mentions . . .
Stewart's Ginger Beer is a similar soft drink that is sold in the United States.
If anyone finds a way to get this to the states, please count me in for a case or two!!!

The South African version of Stoney is sold at Jungle Jim's Supermarket in Fairfield, Ohio. It'll cost you, though. If I recall correctly it was around $1.69 for a can! | [reply] |
