Hi, I thank you for your persistence and patience!!
I have been through the protocol you sent and and set environment variable $ENV{PERL_LWP_USE_HTTP_10} = 1; This seems to have made a difference - I am no longer getting timeouts.I wanted to check if this is a right/wrong move and if there are other thing s I might try to speed up the delivery of results.
