PerlMonks Favourite

I think it would be great to have an insite favourite list for each PerlMonk user (public/private favourite).

Sometimes I read some good ideas in the Newest nodes section and I would want to save those ideas & get back to them later on when needed.

And if you've ever visited "Cool Uses for Perl" section you can see that it's changing "every now and then" and there are some codes that worth looking at or re-used somewhere in your scripts

So instead of having to search each and every time between nodes and guess where did you read something ... what was the subject ? who wrote something ... etc.

You can have instant access to what you want through your PM Favourite list.

Some of you would suggest using my browser's bookmarks, but I do not always use PerlMonks on the same computer ... and sometimes you have to format your computer so ... what do you think

Replies are listed 'Best First'.

I personally use my profile page to store such links, as well as the Personal Nodelet. Have you looked at that Nodelet?

Personal Nodelet looks like what I wanted.

      Thanks

You could use one of the online bookmark services, such as delicious. Or simply cut-n-paste the links ([id://...]) into your homenode area (where others might profit from them too, if they're well categorized...)
