Excellent book. It goes into some very good examples of how to build statements and how to use them, as well as explain how the parts of DBI work. It also discusses some of the performance differences between ways to perform queries.

<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
