I wonder if this could be combined with some of the portscanner
bits that have been posted lately...so then you could make an
adjustable packet size autoscanning sort of thing to create
signatures for a log munger-- something that looked for that
kind of traffic and then noted it?
Hrmmmm. Kind of building a tool to build a tool, but...

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
