Ok, I know: "Don't believe a statistic that you didn't fake yourself."

But actually, I'd like to see some stats on perlmonks. Like how many new users join in, how many nodes are added per day/week/month, how many registered PM users are there on a per month basis... just to see how PerlMonks grows. Wouldn't you, my fellow monks, would like to see something like that, too?

(I already looked for "statistics" but the resulting nodes are all restricted.)

        Saints in our Book is a listing of the most verbose monks, those with the most writeups. Perl Monk's Best Users appears to be a listing of the top monks in terms of XP.

        Update: I guess not. Saints in our Book - unless I'm succumbing to Alzheimers - used to be ordered by writeups, but it does not appear to be any longer. So I may be wrong. Whoops. <G>

      These nodes all concentrate on the merits of individual monks. I want to see something that covers PM as a whole.

        These graphs are very enlightening. It would be even more enlightening to see:
        • The average time it takes for Monks to achieve a certain level.
        • The distribution of reputation amongst nodes.

        Now that you mention votes, what is the purpose of voting, if all you can see is the reputation of your own writings, and not the reputation of someone else?
