I would appreciate any kind of help or ideas to resolve this issue. which version of cpan are you using? Try installing a new one, like http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/A/AN/ANDK/CPAN-2.00.tar.gz, or try cpanm/http://cpanmin.us/, or try cpanp
