Bug# 230
Subsystem:
perlmonks.org
Priority:
C - important
Severity:
05 - Nonfunctioning
Summary:
HTTP problems (page caching?)
Description:
As I roam throughout the site, in either logged in or logged out state, it seems I am being sent cached pages from another session (either when I was logged in or logged out). I am connected via a Squid proxy cache.
Also, I have been unable to update my timezone - it stays at UTC-11, no matter how many times I select UTC+0. I wonder if these problems are related?
I did a quick HEAD http://perlmonks.org/index.pl to try to diagnose this problem and noticed something else: Perlmonks thinks it's in Polish (take a look at the Content-Language header).
I hope this report is useful enough to point you in the right direction. Let me know if you need more details.
Thanks,
Tom

Further research suggests this is a caching problem. I request a node through my browser, then request the same node using HEAD and Squid reports a hit. Doing a GET retrieves content which shows me logged in as tomhukins - oops!
I suggest you send a Cache-control: private header with each response for a page.
PS. GET and POST are part of the LWP modules.
