Have you investigated the alternatives? Mechanize turns up some results.

Thank you Corion for replying. I have gone through the WWW::Mechanize docs . With the help of that I tried achieving this but i only seem to get the source code of the login page .:(

What other than source code (I guess you mean the HTML) do you expect to retrieve?

If you need Javascript support, you should really read what Google or DuckDuckGo, or maybe even Bing tell you. There is WWW::Scripter, and there also are WWW::Mechanize::Firefox and/or WWW::Mechanize::PhantomJS.
