Actually, Windows stores them in two places:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM for shared DLLs and C:\PROGRA~1\
application (where `application' is the name of an application directory) for DLLs specific to that application. OR.. at least developers are *supposed* to do it that way (Ie. This Program Has Performed An Illegal Operation *boink* *boink*).
But, Windows sucks raw, red donkey balls, IMO, anyway.
