It won't answer your question directly but scanning remote services is sooo easy to do from a windows machine. On the other hand running Win32::Services from a Solaris box seems like something difficult to achieve. Therefore, I think the easiest way would be to write a Perl script running on a Windows server and then send the relevant results to the Unix server. zlr .
