I freely admit that I am “thinking Linux” here, but what I do is to use the cpan command and say: r. Having said that... it is well worth your time to issue the command perl -V (note the upper-case "V"...) and to truly learn the reasons and purposes of Perl's @INC array. (“It all makes sense, really,” ... elegant sense, even ... but it's not always obvious.) As you will see when you issue the command listed above, Perl looks in certain places, in a certain well-defined sequence, to find anything that it is looking for. This list (called @INC) starts with entries that are hard-coded into Perl (when it is compiled...) and can be added-to in several well-defined ways. “If it's on that list... it's available. If not, it's not there.”
