The first thing to do is to set the time aside for estimation whenever required. It serve important purpose. It tells you that you are concentrating task of estimation. With practice, and other advices given here, you can be a better estimator. Also just like the ability to do the manual task depend upon individual, so is the setting estimate for the task.
