There‘s also bitbucket which I like and use since private repos are free there and for pay on github though github‘s features and things like travis-ci.org integration are better. I use github mostly from the command line. But I love the site when I need it or the rare occasion I want to do an edit on another person’s computer. (which I don't like because of its insistence on Javascript) This is 2015. Resisting JS at this point isn’t just anachronistic, it's full on Luddite.
